What to verify before you travel
Our guides give you a researched starting point. Roads, permits, fees, weather, and operating hours can still change before your trip.
We check each guide against official park, agency, and reservation sources through its printed verification date. Conditions can change after that date. Fees and reservation rules shift. Roads close. Campgrounds flood. Businesses change their hours or close.
Before you leave, confirm fees, permits, closures, road status, and business hours with the responsible official source. That may be the National Park Service, Recreation.gov, a state agency, or the business itself. A guide helps you plan; it cannot guarantee day-of access or safety.
How changing conditions reach you
The Trailhead tracks closures, access changes, and reservation updates that may affect your plans. When a change materially affects a guide, we account for it in the next guide update. You should still check the linked official source before you travel.
